Run by the Borrego Valley Endowment Fund, Frugal Coyote Boutique & Resale Shop in Borrego Springs puts its proceeds back into local programs and organizations that support families, children and community efforts in town. Its racks and shelves carry vintage clothing, home décor and other donated goods. Volunteers help sort and price the merchandise, work the sales floor and keep the displays in order.
Donations are dropped off at the shop during open hours. Accepted items include clothing, shoes, accessories, furniture, kitchenware, housewares, art, tools and books. A sandwich board with a cartoon coyote marks the entrance, set against salmon-colored stucco walls, and bookshelves line the space just inside the door. The store is open five days a week.
