Proceeds from this Oakhurst thrift shop provide income for the Eastern Madera County SPCA, a volunteer organization dedicated to the humane treatment of animals. The shop takes donations of most items, though it does not accept large appliances or large furniture, and clothing is sometimes turned away when space runs short. Donors are asked to phone the shop first so the manager can say whether items are acceptable and when it is best to drop them off.
The shop is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. Its sales support the dogs and cats cared for at the SPCA's Animal Care and Adoption Center while they wait for adoptive homes. The SPCA opened the thrift shop in 2016.
