Lighthouse Thrift Store in Dana Point is run by the Lighthouse Charitable Foundation, a non-profit, non-denominational Christian organization founded in 2006. The foundation operates its Dana Point thrift stores to help meet needs around the world, and the shop is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
Sales support several of the foundation's ministries. A benevolence ministry provides for churches and individuals in many countries, the Victoryhouse ministry offers discipleship for men, and a community garden serves people across Southern California. The Great Commission Alliance focuses on evangelism, discipleship and ministry training around the globe. Inside, upholstered sofas and chairs fill the floor beneath glass shelves of dishes and glassware, and a red surfboard hangs high on one wall.
