Furniture donations are taken here, which is something the health system's Incline Village store doesn't do. This Truckee hospice thrift store is run by Tahoe Forest Health System and is open six days a week, closed on Sundays. Electrical items and sports equipment are also accepted, but only after approval, and donors should check with employees before unloading anything.
Clothing should arrive in bags, off the hanger, and household goods should be clean and ready to sell. The store does not take mattresses, bed frames, bed pillows, mattress pads, exercise equipment or hard-wired electrical fixtures. The shop sits in a cream-and-gray metal building, and its white lettered sign carries a green pine-tree emblem with tall pines on the hillside behind it.
