Hope Hospice Thrift Shop takes donations at a covered drive-through drop-off area on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings, and drop-off ends early if the donation bin fills. Donors who can't bring items in can book a pickup through Haul Buddy, which collects from inside or outside the home and will take furniture apart if needed. The New Braunfels shop is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
The shop is run by Hope Hospice, and all of its proceeds go to the care of underfunded and underinsured patients at the end of life, as well as grief support camps and counseling. Shoppers browse a renovated and expanded retail space. The shop's name is spelled out in large green letters across a gray concrete canopy above a pale limestone front.
