A resale shop run as a social enterprise of The Archway, Berry Good Buys in Fort Worth has put all of its proceeds toward programs that keep families safe from domestic abuse since 1988. Survivors in The Archway's programs shop there for free. The store sells donated clothing, small furniture, housewares and baby gear. Gray metal shelving on the sales floor holds glassware, tall colored vases, wicker baskets and bins of kitchen utensils.
Staff sort every donation. Items that families in The Archway's shelters need go to them first, and everything else goes out on the floor for sale. The store is open five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday, and takes drop-offs until thirty minutes before closing. Clothing should come in bags or boxes, off the hangers. The store doesn't pick up donations, and it can't accept mattresses, large appliances or building materials.
