Houston's Briargrove store is a combined thrift shop and donation center run by Goodwill Houston, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Sales here support the organization's job training and placement services, which educate, train and hire people facing barriers to employment, including veterans, older workers, at-risk youth, the formerly incarcerated and individuals with disabilities.
Along with shopping, the location takes in donated goods, and a drive-thru lane for donations runs beside the building. A tall blue sign panel with white script lettering and a red, white and blue Texas-flag Goodwill logo fills the front of the store. Its doors open seven days a week, and it stays open into the evening every day.
