Caritas Treasures in Waco, Texas is open on weekdays and closed on weekends. The store takes donations of clean household items and clothing, either new or lightly used, and donors call ahead to schedule a drop-off. These donations stock the store, so household goods and clothing fill its shelves and racks.
The resale store belongs to Caritas of Waco, a nonprofit that has worked against local poverty and hunger since 1967. Money from every sale helps pay for Caritas programs, which include food assistance, emergency services, community support, case management for veterans and gifts-in-kind distribution. Both shopping at the store and donating to it support the work Caritas does for families, individuals and veterans in need across Waco.
