Sales at this Spring, Texas thrift store pay for job training and placement for people facing barriers to employment, including veterans, older workers, at-risk youth, the formerly incarcerated and individuals with disabilities. The Kuykendahl store is run by Goodwill Houston, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which also educates, trains and hires those same individuals to help them thrive.
Next to the sales floor, a donation center takes in contributions on site. The store is open seven days a week and stays open into the evening every day. Blue lettering beside a Goodwill emblem styled on the Texas flag tops a brick entrance arch trimmed with white stars.
