This Plano resale store is the donation and resale center for Operation Once in a Lifetime, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to make the dreams of U.S. soldiers come true. Anyone can drop off clothes, electronics and furniture here to help soldiers. Military families who don't need financial aid but could use a few things for the household are welcome to stop by for help.
The nonprofit also runs an annual Closure Trip to Arlington National Cemetery for veterans and active-duty service members, plus a yearly Toys for Troops drive that helps military families over the holidays. The store's name runs across the front in large maroon letters, and a rack of clothing stands outside next to the entrance. The doors are open seven days a week.
