Furniture, clothing, home decor, jewelry, books and toys fill Angels' Attic, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) resale store in Grapevine, Texas, open five days a week. Money from selling donated merchandise pays for financial grants to charities. Donated goods that don't sell go to local charities. New arrivals and weekly specials are posted on the store's public Facebook page.
Volunteers run the Attic, and they treat the work as a ministry that includes a soldier ministry. People can take part by shopping, donating or volunteering, and a volunteer coordinator helps new helpers get started. The store's name is spelled out in bold purple letters across a cream brick storefront.
