A volunteer-run charity shop, the Alpine Humane Society Thrift Store has raised money for local animal care since opening in 2013. Proceeds go to the Alpine Humane Society's programs: emergency veterinary help for pets of struggling owners, a spay and neuter fund, a pet food pantry and community education. Shelves hold clothing, furniture, décor, housewares, books, puzzles, toys, pet supplies and collectibles.
Donations of clean, working goods come in through the back entrance during store hours or by appointment, and large donations or estate items can often be picked up within Alpine. Broken items, mattresses, large appliances, old electronics and paint are not accepted. The store is closed Sundays. Inside, a wooden lattice cattery houses cats available for adoption.
