Every sale at My Sister's Closet in Commerce supports Women In Need, a nonprofit that serves survivors of domestic violence, and all proceeds go to its programs and services. The shop also serves those survivors directly: each WIN client can receive a voucher to choose clothing, furniture and household goods at no cost.
The store sells clothing for men, women and children, along with shoes, handbags, jewelry, home décor and art, toys and games, furniture, collectibles and books. Donations in good condition are accepted in person during set donation hours, and donors can ask for a tax-deductible receipt. Free pickup is offered for large donations. Mattresses, box springs, stained items and damaged furniture are not accepted. The store is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
