Proceeds from RCC Resale in Galveston support the Resource & Crisis Center of Galveston County, a nonprofit that serves victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and human trafficking. The center works to prevent these crimes and provides free emergency shelter, a 24-hour crisis hotline, residential and non-residential services, legal help and sexual assault services. It also runs awareness events, educational trainings and a certified sexual assault training program.
The Galveston shop is open seven days a week. It sits in a tan brick building with "RCC RESALE" in blue letters beside the center's swirl logo. A pale green metal awning runs above rows of white paned doors. The center runs a separate Home Store along with its other resale shops.
