The Shops at The Caring Place sell donated goods in Georgetown, Texas. Sales support The Caring Place, a nonprofit that has provided for basic human needs in Central Texas since 1985. Its work includes a food pantry, help for people in a financial crisis, clothing, and free laundry through its Loads of Caring program. On the sales floor, upholstered sofas and chairs sit among framed artwork that covers the walls, including one teal accent wall.
New and used items are donated through a drive-through lane beside the building. People who buy furniture bring the purchase tag through that same drive-through, staff help load the piece, and it needs to be picked up within 48 hours. The store is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
