The 2nd Hand Store runs its thrift shop in Forestdale, Alabama, under a white sign that pairs the store's name with a handshake emblem. Doors open six days a week, and Sunday is the one day the shop stays closed. Lamps, dishes, glassware and pieces of furniture fill the sales floor all the way to the front windows.
