Run by Teen Challenge Southeast, a faith-based nonprofit, SuperThrift Sanford sells secondhand clothing, furniture and household items. Donated goods are tax-deductible, and pickups can be requested. A covered drive-through donation lane with a red sign stands at one end of the store's gray building. The store is open six days a week, stays open into the evening on at least one of them, and closes on Sundays.
Teen Challenge program participants train here in customer service and retail operations, building a steady work ethic and rebuilding self-esteem on the job. All proceeds from sales go to Teen Challenge residential programs for teens and adults recovering from addiction.
