The Salvation Army Family Store in Reidsville is both a shop and a donation center. It belongs to the local Salvation Army corps, which runs a wide range of basic needs programs for area residents. The corps is part of a Christian ministry that works to meet human needs without discrimination.
The store takes donations of clothing, furniture and other household goods. Gifts to the corps help pay for meals, shelter and support for neighbors in need. The store is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. Over the entrance of its brick building rises a red tower carrying the organization's red shield, and a long white sign next to it reads Family Store and Donation Center.
