An upscale thrift boutique in Lakeland, Florida, Top Buttons is run by a Christ-centered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps young women build confidence and recognize their worth. The boutique shares space with the organization's offices. Its programs serve more than 300 young women in need each year through educational sessions, mentorship, workforce training in the Shine Internship Program and free, well-fitting wardrobes for work, school and everyday life.
The boutique is open five days a week. Its newest addition, Little Buttons, offers families affordable clothing for infants and toddlers. The shop sits in a red brick building, with a gray hanging sign under a white awning strung with bare bulbs.
