This home improvement resale store in Tampa sells new and used building materials, appliances, cabinets, furniture, flooring and specialty items. Habitat for Humanity of Tampa Bay Hillsborough runs it. The group is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, and every dollar of the store's profit goes to its work building and renovating affordable homes, preserving and repairing houses, and providing financial mentorship and services for veterans.
All of the merchandise is donated by local businesses and individuals, and donors receive a receipt for tax purposes. The store is open to the public six days a week and closed on Sundays. Its gray-painted brick front carries a large white ReStore sign with a green "o." Volunteers help out on the sales floor alongside the organization's construction crews.
