More than 60 volunteers run Parrish United Methodist Thrift, a ministry of Parrish United Methodist Church that serves people on a budget and anyone hunting for a bargain. It has two shops, the Thrift Cottage and the Annex. Both sell clothing, furniture and household goods along with a mix of other merchandise. The Annex is a white clapboard cottage with a bright red front door and a wooden deck at the entrance.
Donations go to the shed behind the cottage and are accepted only on days the shops are open, in the morning before closing. The stores open four days a week, including Saturday. The church welcomes new volunteers as well as shoppers, and it also runs a food pantry ministry.
