Kids' resale is the whole focus at Once Upon A Child Clearwater, an independently owned and operated franchise of the Winmark Corporation brand. The store buys and sells children's clothing, shoes, toys, books, furniture and baby gear, and new stock reaches the floor every day.
The shop doesn't take donations. Instead it buys outgrown items from families and pays cash on the spot. Shoppers can join a loyalty program, and the doors open seven days a week, staying open into the evening on at least one day. Pink and teal letters spell out the name above a row of dark awnings across the front. Inside, the sales floor covers 7,500 square feet.
