Stuart is home to a volunteer-run shop that exists to help dogs. Mable's Mission Thrift Shop was started by Totally Fetch Animal Rescue and Mable's Mission, and the volunteers of Mable's Mission run it entirely. Every sale goes back to the rescue to give shelter and stray dogs a second chance.
The shop depends on donated goods, and each donated item, purchase and volunteer hour supports the same rescue work. Its stock has included designer handbags along with clothing and shoes. The store is open five days a week, including Sundays. Out front, wire racks of shoes, handbags and clothing stand beneath a navy sign with white lettering that reads The Rescue Thrift Shop.
