Proceeds from the Hope International Missions Thrift Store in Hobe Sound, Florida, go toward helping people in need. Called the HIM Thrift Store for short, the shop is open six days a week and closes on Sundays.
The store runs under Hope International Missions, the missions arm of FEA Ministries, Inc., a Christian organization whose work also includes orphan ministries, education and a gospel publishing mission. The ministry sees partnership as central to missions: people who may never serve in the foreign field can still take part by praying and giving. A bright orange-red OPEN sign hangs behind the glass of the store's front door, above a lettered card of thrift store hours.
