Sales at the Arcadia-Desoto Habitat for Humanity ReStore help build homes in DeSoto County and cover the overhead of Arcadia-DeSoto County Habitat for Humanity. That nonprofit works to end substandard housing by building, rehabilitating and preserving homes. The store carries building and home goods such as cabinets, countertops, doors, windows, flooring, tile, drywall, lighting, plumbing fixtures, appliances and tools, plus housewares, bedding, artwork, jewelry and clothing.
The ReStore accepts donations from any of those categories, and when an item can't be dropped off, the crew will pick it up. Deliveries are offered too. The store is open five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday. A bright green double door marks the entrance of its white building, and furniture is often set out front.
