Christian Heights Thrift Store takes donations on two days each week, Tuesday and Thursday, during the morning and early afternoon. The store is run by Christian Heights Church in Sonora, California, a congregation whose ministries also include a child care center, Bible studies and life groups, and activities for children.
The shop is open five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday, so donation days fall during regular store hours. Inside, wooden shelves hold vases and glassware, and boxes of vinyl records sit on the cloth-covered center tables beside lamps and dishes. A long glass display case runs along the checkout counter, with red rugs on the floor in front of it. The store sits at the corner of two main roads in Sonora, a short distance from the church itself.
