Clothing, furniture, luggage, decorations and household goods fill the main floor of Serenity House Thrift Store in Sequim, Washington. A separate Showcase offers higher-end furniture and prized pieces, and an Appliance store carries hardware, electronics, appliances and sporting goods. Serenity House of Clallam County has run the stores since 1998. Their revenue pays for the organization's projects and supports 13 local jobs.
Donations go to the main store, which is open five days a week and closed Sundays and Mondays. Every item is sorted and cleaned before it goes out for sale, and pickup and delivery are offered throughout Sequim. A gray corrugated-metal tower with a blue sign and a red awning stands beside the rust-red timber entryway.
