Every sale at Outreach Thrift Shop in Shepherdsville goes to Mark 12 Ministries, a Christian nonprofit that works with homeless and underserved people. The shop is open five days a week. It sells clothing and household necessities, and it also gives these items to local residents in need.
Mark 12 Ministries started with a cold-weather shelter so that no one had to sleep outside in freezing weather. It has since grown into a wider set of services. Money from the shop helps pay for mentoring and case management for people at risk of losing their homes, a program for veterans and Gospel-centered support groups. The shop is in a low red brick building with a white sign lettered in red.
