Proceeds from the Pine Strawberry Thrift Shop support the Senior Citizens Affairs Foundation, known locally as the Pine Mall. The foundation runs a gathering place for community members aged 40 and over. It also serves meals in its own dining room and runs a Meals on Wheels program. The store and dining room operate together, and the thrift shop is open four days a week.
Donations are dropped off in the yard behind the store during open hours, and items should never be left there after closing. The store takes things it expects to sell within a reasonable time. Furniture space indoors is limited, and pickups can be arranged. Mattresses, paint, propane tanks, tube TVs, encyclopedias and broken items are not accepted.
