Sales at Sequel's UpScale ReSale Boutique fund the work of Hope-Net Ministries, a nonprofit, faith-based organization serving the homeless and destitute in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The ministry reaches out to women who are incarcerated or struggling with addiction and builds relationships with them as they return to society. It provides them and their families with bicycles, clothing, job application training and other support.
The boutique is a resale store that runs under the ministry's "Sequels" name. It is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. Women in the program are encouraged to join weekly support groups and mentoring and to volunteer in the Sequels stores, which also take volunteers through a sign-up form. Hope-Net holds an annual fall fundraiser called Racing to the Streets.
