Run by the for-profit company TVI, Inc., Savers in Las Cruces sells secondhand clothing for the whole family along with dinnerware, accessories, books, housewares and electronics. Shopping here does not benefit a charity, but donating does. The store accepts clothing and household goods on behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central New Mexico and pays the nonprofit for them, taking everything from bedding and toys to small appliances and small furniture.
The tan building carries the Savers name in large red letters. Every Tuesday is Senior Tuesday, with a discount for shoppers 55 and older. Dropping off donations earns a coupon toward a later purchase, and Super Savers Club members get sales of their own. The doors open seven days a week, with evening hours.
