Sales at the ACTS Resale Store in Aiken support Area Churches Together Serving, a faith-based nonprofit that brings together partner churches, businesses, volunteers, donors and staff to fight poverty and strengthen families. The organization works to move people from need toward their potential, one person at a time, because it holds that every person it serves matters to God. Its client services office works directly with neighbors facing hardship.
Donations aren't taken at the shop itself. Instead they go to a separate drop-off area at the ACTS client services building, which accepts items throughout the workweek. The store is open on weekdays and closed on weekends. Deep green awnings line its red brick front, and the center awning carries the white ACTS logo with a cross worked into the letters.
