Friends and Family Thrifting opened in 2026 as a community thrift store, and its sales fund Friends & Family Thriving, an initiative that serves neighbors in need. Donated goods are put on the shelves and racks, with new merchandise added every day. Seasonal stock includes back-to-school items for everyone from preschoolers to students moving into dorms. Long racks of button-down shirts and shorts run down both sides of a speckled gray floor.
Besides the store, the organization runs the Community Share Food Pantry, a diaper bank and a program called Martha Dollars, and it takes on volunteers. Donations of goods are accepted. Photos of current inventory are posted weekly, and items sell first come, first served, with no holds. The store is open four days a week, Wednesday through Saturday.
