Sales at the Aberdeen ReStore support Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna, which owns and runs the store as part of its mission of building homes, communities and hope. The shelves hold donated household goods and building materials. Each month the store rotates which items are on sale, and the tag on each item shows whether it is currently marked down.
Donations of excess household goods and building materials are welcome from people who are remodeling, cleaning out, downsizing or getting organized. Drop-offs are accepted at the store, but the donation window closes earlier in the day than the sales floor. The store is open five days a week and closed Sundays and Mondays. Out front stands a small white free pantry cabinet with a hand-painted floral sign.
