In Conway, the Gibson Center Thrift Store is a nonprofit, community-centered shop that supports the Gibson Center for Senior Services. Its sales fund Meals on Wheels, transportation programs and senior activities. It also serves the wider community with low-priced clothing and home goods. Donations are accepted on weekdays, and new items go out on the floor every day.
The racks hold everything from fashion to vintage clothing, along with shoes, boots, winter coats and accessories. Because the area is so focused on the outdoors, the store carries a large selection of ski and athletic wear. Small housewares, bedding, gifts and seasonal holiday items fill out the stock. Necklaces and other jewelry hang from white, tree-shaped stands. The shop is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
