Upcycled and refashioned clothing fills the racks at Wear Haus, a queer and trans owned and operated shop in Boise, Idaho. Alongside secondhand pieces, the store carries handmade gifts, pride gear, festival wear and costumes. It also runs a screen printing business that makes custom prints, and it takes on tailoring and alterations work.
The shop treats fashion as a form of freedom and self-expression, rooted in the long shared history of clothing and queerness. Part of the collection is sold online, and the store publishes its own resale guide. Weathered wood planks line the front above the windows, and a pink triangle sits behind the name on the door. Wear Haus is open five days a week, Sundays included.
