St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store & Donation Center is currently asking El Paso residents for clothing donations. The store is run by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in El Paso, a Catholic organization whose volunteer members, called Vincentians, work to feed, clothe, house and heal people who have nowhere else to turn. Thrift sales sit alongside the Society's broader work, which includes rental assistance, homelessness prevention and food pantries.
The donation center takes unwanted household items, and pickup can be arranged for heavy pieces. The Society also offers help to those seeking assistance and to those seeking asylum. Its cream-colored building carries the store name in large raised orange letters above rust-red awnings and railings. The store is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
