Every purchase at Garden Patch Thrift Shoppe supports Greenhouse Ministries, the Murfreesboro nonprofit that runs it, and all proceeds go back to the ministry and the local community. The shop is part of the ministry's relational outreach, which serves the underserved through local volunteers. A rotating color-tag sale marks down a different tag color each week of the month, cycling through green, yellow, blue and red.
Donations are taken at the back of the building, and the ministry also offers scheduled donation pickups. The shop is open six days a week and closed on Sundays, and its own newsletter announces special sales and updates. The white metal building has a wooden American flag hung on its wall and dark green shutters beside the side door.
