Every dollar from sales at Steered Straight Too funds Steered Straight's work against substance abuse. The store is open six days a week, Sundays included, with evening hours, and it takes donations on the days it's open. Its furniture section has sofas, loveseats, dressers, hutches, and kitchen tables and chairs. The racks and shelves also carry clothing and shoes for babies through adults, linens, kitchenware, small appliances, electronics, tools, camping gear and toys.
Steered Straight teaches young people in schools and prisons about the real consequences of addiction, suicide, bullying and vaping, and it helps them build a prevention message they can use in their own lives. Collectors can browse vinyl records, 8-tracks, comic books, antiques and china. Green capital letters spell out the store's name across a long white awning.
