Run by Goodwill of North Georgia, the Sandy Springs Goodwill in Atlanta is a thrift store and a secure, attended donation center in one. Money from donated goods supports the nonprofit's mission of putting people to work. The drop-off takes clothing, books, furniture, computers and many other household items, and it has its own entrance under a blue-lettered sign at one end of the gray building. Donation pickups are also available.
Staff restock the racks and shelves throughout the day, and everything on the sales floor is replaced with new merchandise every 21 days. The store also runs a weekly Color of the Week promotion as part of its Savvy Shoppers Club. Both the store and the donation center are open seven days a week and stay open into the evening.
