Hospice care is the cause behind this Tampa resale shop, one of the Life's Treasures Thrift Stores run by Chapters Health System. All proceeds support patient and family programs at the system's hospice affiliates. The shelves and racks hold clothing, shoes, furniture, books, antiques, jewelry, collectibles and home décor, and the stock ranges from pre-owned to nearly new, including pieces that have never been worn.
Donations are tax-deductible and are accepted at the store's back door Monday through Saturday, and the store also offers free pickup of donations. Life's Treasures Carrollwood is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. A new sales calendar comes out every month, and volunteers help run the store alongside the hospice organization.
