Furniture and household goods fill Humble House Thrift Store and More in Tallahassee, along with home decor, appliances, electronics, jewelry, clothing, accessories, menswear and sporting goods. The store takes donations of all of these, plus used vehicles, and furniture can be dropped off or picked up for free if arranged during business hours. The shop is open five days a week, and its dark blue awning sits under a white sign with a small house-and-cross logo.
The store is run by Humble House Ministries, a faith-based nonprofit that provides sober living homes for women. Its Tallahassee program began in 2021 and offers long-term residential recovery built on biblical discipleship, relapse prevention, accountability and life skills classes. It also has a transitional house where graduates who are working can live for up to a year.
