Sales at New Horizons Thrift Store in Pueblo help fund second chances for local families affected by incarceration. The racks and shelves hold men's, women's, kids' and infant clothing, along with furniture, shoes, toys, sporting goods, books, games, music and movies on CD, DVD and vinyl, home decor, linens, kitchen goods and pre-packed food. New stock goes out every day, and the store has dressing rooms.
Donations are accepted at a roll-up bay marked by a large "Donations" sign and a dark metal awning set into the stone-trimmed building, and local pickups can be scheduled. One color tag goes on deep discount each Monday. Tuesdays bring savings for military members and first responders, and Wednesdays bring savings for seniors. The store stays open into the evening on weekdays and is closed on Sundays.
