Ye Olde Thrift Shoppe raises money for the Crest Forest Senior Citizens' Club, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) membership organization serving people 50 and up. Sales keep the club running and fund community programs such as the Senior Nutrition Lunch. The shelves hold books, craft supplies, clothing, home goods and decor, and furniture, with new donations put out every day. The shop's name runs in old-fashioned script across its front windows, above a base of rough fieldstone.
Donations are tax deductible. Sorting space is limited, so on occasional days the shop pauses intake to catch up, and items should never be left outside after closing. A new special runs almost every day, and the doors are open six days a week, Sundays included.
