A nonprofit 501(c)(3) thrift store, Lutheran Thrift Shop has operated since 1994 to provide financial support for area nonprofit organizations and material help for families and individuals. Its shop covers more than 35,000 square feet of furniture, appliances, clothing, books, puzzles, tools, electronics, craft items, and children's clothes and toys. A large section is devoted to holiday decorations, and donated antiques, vintage pieces and collectibles go into a silent auction. All sales are final.
Donations are taken on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the red door behind the store, where volunteers hand out receipts, except during the first half of July. Volunteers also pick up qualifying furniture and other large items and deliver large purchases. The shop is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
