Run by St. Edward Catholic Church in Little Rock, St. Edwards Thrift Store is a parish ministry that opens its doors on Sundays and Mondays. Donations are accepted Tuesday through Friday, when donors check in at the church office for access. The church office also schedules donation pickups for items that need collecting.
The parish recruits volunteers to help run the store and collects their names and availability through a sign-up form. Along one wall, a long blue shelf holds a row of table lamps with fabric shades. Below it, tables carry bike helmets and household goods, with sleeping bags and suitcases stacked underneath.
