Dixie Belle Paint shares the shelves with secondhand goods at Welcome Home Thrift & More, a nonprofit thrift store in Adamstown, Pennsylvania. Alongside the paint, the store carries new and used clothing, shoes, accessories, housewares, furniture and home decor. Children's toys round out the mix.
The store is open six days a week, Sundays included. Inside, white racks and shelving stand against charcoal-gray walls, and the floor is full of kids' clothing, stuffed animals and toys. Because the store runs as a nonprofit, its sales go to its charitable work instead of to private owners. The store calls itself Welcome Home Thrift & More, and the "& More" covers the furniture, the home decor and the paint line that it stocks next to its everyday thrift goods.
