American Thrift Stores buys donated goods from breast cancer foundations and resells them, and its business has generated millions of dollars for breast cancer awareness and research. In Florida, donors can schedule a free home pickup through the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. This West Palm Beach store sells secondhand clothing for men, women and children, plus shoes, belts, handbags, hats, jewelry, bedding and linens.
The shelves also carry furniture, home decor, kitchenware, toys, games and electronics. Daily deals take money off items with certain ticket colors, and shoppers can earn points through a rewards program or join a membership club with extra specials. The store is open seven days a week, with evening hours on at least one day. Its name is spelled out in red capital letters across a pale yellow front lined with tall palm trees.
