A church-run charity shop, St. Matthias Thrift Shop operates as an outreach of St. Matthias Episcopal Church in Minocqua, Wisconsin. Local volunteers staff it entirely, and its mission is to help people in need along with the whole surrounding community. The shop offers quality secondhand goods at affordable prices and has been serving Minocqua since 1975.
Doors open only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and donations are accepted whenever the shop is open. Items that are not appropriate for resale may be turned away at the door. Above the glass entrance of the brick building hangs a blue sign where a large white cross forms the "T" in "Thrift."
