Donations of clothing and household goods are accepted here on behalf of Northwest Center, a Seattle nonprofit. The for-profit company that runs the store pays Northwest Center for what people donate, but money spent on purchases does not go to the nonprofit. The donation list covers clothing and shoes, bags, bed and bath items, books and media, toys and games, housewares, electronics, sporting goods, small appliances and small furniture. Donors get a coupon toward their next purchase.
The sales floor carries clothing for the whole family, along with dinnerware, accessories, books and electronics. Shoppers 55 and older get a senior discount every Tuesday, and Super Savers Club members earn rewards and can shop members-only sales. The store is open seven days a week and stays open into the evening. A bold red Value Village sign runs across its cream-colored front.
